The GTPS, Brazilian Roundtable on Sustainable Livestock, participated in the Mosaico do Agronegócio 2022 in Gramado (RS) on June 8, 9, and 10. At the event, promoted by the associated organization SIA, GTPS Executive Manager Luiza Bruscato spoke about the challenges and opportunities of sustainable agribusiness in Brazil to more than 500 participants.
"Within GTPS, we are in direct contact with the six links that make up the Brazilian beef production chain, and we constantly discuss topics that are trending in the sector. In these routine activities of the Group, we can identify the main obstacles when talking about sustainability in agribusiness in Brazil, but at the same time, we also see that there are indeed many opportunities for those who dive deeply into the issue," says Luiza.
The lecture took place within the panel 'Money and Sustainability: How to Balance This Account?'. The founder and CEO of Dreams and Purpose Consulting, Leonardo Lima, also participated in the panel, which took place on the third day of the event. The Mosaico do Agronegócio 2022 was sponsored by DSM and the Brazilian Angus Association.
"Sustainability was a trend when I started working on the topic 12 years ago. Brazilian agribusiness has the conditions to be a protagonist and help build the planet we want to live on in the future, but we need to recognize and face our current challenges," concluded the executive manager.
On this occasion, Luiza also met with representatives of Sebrae-RS. The meeting was a starting point for a collaboration agreement between the institutions, including SIA, which promoted the event.
